Why Three Model Numbers But Same Canon DC?

Some customers asked us: why there are three different model number for each Canon digital camera? The answer is simple: They are dedicated for different regions hence come with different configurations.

Canon has designated the prefix IXY for Japanese market, IXUS for Asian market and SD for US market. Even though the model numbers have different prefixes, the cameras essentially are the same! All three of them were manufactured with the same specification and quality. All of them could be operated in English and come with English manuals. To help our customers identifying the digital camera they needed, we have listed up all three model numbers on product pages. LG in CES 2007 (cont')

Another innovation from LG, a vertical wall-mount video projector. It could project up to 120" screen. No more projector installation nightmare. Just hang the projector on the wall and bingo! Two thumbs Up!

LG was big this year in CES. They are not only showing off their new products but their latest and greatest technologies. This Ultra thin OLED screen is an example.




Another trend is TV phone. LG is working closely with Verizon. Hot! Hot! Hot!

LG Dual HD DVD Player

LG surprise everyone with its new Dual HD DVD Player. The battle between blue-ray and HD DVD standards seems over now. LG reconciled two competing standards by this new dual standard HD DVD player. Hot! Hot! Hot!

Samsung in CES 2007

Given that Samsung's CEO is sitting on the board of CEA, Samsung occupied a big lot in CES floor as expected. Extreme slim continues to be the main theme of Samsung's cell phone this year. Its ultra slim A727 and F300 cell phones had gotten a lot of media attention in CES this year.



Another highlight is Samsung i760 PDA phone. It is a Windows Pocket PC with a slider QWERTY keyboard. It combined with an MP3 player, camera, camcorder and phone in a tiny form factor.

Motorola in CES 2007

Motorola didn't introduce any new phone in CES 2007. No surprise so far! We don't even see the latest and hottest Motorola E6 ($439). The good news is: Motorola z3 and Motorola K1M both had received CES product awards. Z3, E6 and K1, sibling of K1m, are currently available in coolbee.com.

Nokia N76

In CES 2007, we finally see a flip phone from Nokia, N76 Cell Phone. This phone looks and feels like a Motorola V3 but the specification is more advanced. Looking forward to see it released later this year.

Nokia N93i

N93i is another key product introduced in Nokia floor. This phone comes with Carl Zeiss len 3.2 mega-pixels digital camera and a VGA level MPEG4 camcorder. It comes with a simple photo editor as well as web browser and productivity applications. As usual, Symbian Operating System is the choice. Please note that Nokia even created a special tripod for N93i, what a nice touch!

The photo quality is vivid as expected. As the camcorders is moving up to HD level, VGA MP4 quality simply does not live up to the standard. It is still not the prime time for camcorder-phone. not yet!

Nokia N95

Nokia intrduces the N95 cell phone in CES 2007. Nokia claims that "it's what computer have become". This phone comes with 3.2 Mega-pixels Carl Zeiss len auto-focus digital camera and a GPS device. The catch is: all the maps will not be stored in the flash memory but will be downloaded via data channel. That means user will need subscribe on data service to use the GPS function. According to the sales representative, the GPS function will not work properly when the phone is out of network.

CES 2007

The whole sales department of coolbee.com are attending the CES 2007 in Vegas. It is our privilege and responsibility as member of Consumer Electronic Association (The organizer of CES) to participate this international show.
