Some customers asked us: why there are three different model number for each Canon digital camera? The answer is simple: They are dedicated for different regions hence come with different configurations.
Canon has designated the prefix IXY for Japanese market, IXUS for Asian market and SD for US market. Even though the model numbers have different prefixes, the cameras essentially are the same! All three of them were manufactured with the same specification and quality. All of them could be operated in English and come with English manuals. To help our customers identifying the digital camera they needed, we have listed up all three model numbers on product pages.
